Harrah’s Entertainment revealed that the World Series of Poker will expand its family of circuit tournaments with the new addition of the first WSOP Africa. The inaugural event will kick off October 24th through 31st at the Emerald Resort and Casino in South Africa and is expected to attract some of the best poker players in the world.

The World Series of Poker Academy, the premier series of live and interactive instructional camps lead by the world’s most winning professional poker players, has announced the addition of new seminars and instructional modules to its annual Tournament Academy event running at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino during the 2010 World Series of Poker.

World Series of Poker owner, Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. has filed a court paper last Friday denying the allegation that the WSOP breached its $22.5 million sponsorship agreement with online poker site EverestPoker.com.

EverestPoker.com parent company, Ultra Internet Media, has filed a lawsuit last week against Harrah’s Entertainment, owners of the World Series of Poker, alleging breach of contract and seeking to back out of the sponsorship for the 2010 tournament series.
