World’s best online poker site FullTilt.com has launched a new and innovative poker interface that includes innovative new elements on both the front end and backend and creates an easier poker experience.

Probably the first thing Full Tilt customers will notice is a new welcome page boasting a brand new modern appearance as well as a few brand new aspects such as a list of random security guidelines displayed on the bottom of the screen. Full Tilt new client software gives players 3 distinct lobby views: Basic, Standard and Classic View.

The Basic View gives new poker players with the possibility of catching up with the new poker client and viewing the games without the demands of participating. The Basic View provides step by step reports on all the existing poker games, and gives players the ability to decide on their currency, type of game, Game (Hold’em, Omaha Hi or HL, Stud and Mixed Games), Limit (Fixed, Pot or No Limit), and Stake. In addition poker players can now check the action before joining a poker table with the new “Observe Table” choice or click on “Browse Table to view the list of open tables.

The Standard View provides information about all the available poker games and allows poker players to modify the list of poker games and tables to present only the poker games of their preference. This option also offers players the possibility of choosing the type of table, poker game, stake and view the tables before jumping in the poker action.

Players can also opt for the Classic view and stay with Full Tilt Poker’s initial lobby, however, this choice will be accessible for a limited time only and will be terminated shortly.

Both the Basic and Standard views also features a series of pioneering characteristics such as new revolving graphic screen located on the left that provides customers direct entry to FullTiltPoker’s promos and events including the FTOPS, Iron Man, Play with the Pros, Full Tilt Poker Academy, Poker Deposit Bonuses, and many other poker promotions and Full Tilt Poker Tournaments, as well as an option for video that allows players to view videos directly from the Full Tilt Poker client.

Posted under Poker & internet poker & online poker & online poker rooms & poker celebrities & poker information & poker players

FullTiltPoker.com has recently launched a brand new informative section containing all the action of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an amazing online heads up poker tournament presenting some of the finest big money poker players challenging the online poker phenomenon Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The new website section presents poker players and fans the opportunity to stay on top of this amazing online poker challenge and receive regular statistical updates. With this fresh “durrrr Challenge” website players can track all the action and review each hand played during the challenge, and check out tons of stats, including number of hands played, time of session, amount won, average won during each hand and lots more.

About six months ago, the twenty-three year old internet poker pro handed out a heads-up challenge for any poker player with the money, time and talent to accept it. Any poker star entering the poker challenge has to put up $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Full Tilt durrrr challenge specifies that a minimum 50,000 poker hands need to be played simultaneously at four or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the challenge, the poker player who has more cash will win the pool. Essentially if you enter the durrrr challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 poker hands, then you will earn Tom’s $1.5 Million, but if he triumphs by $1 then he will take home your $500,000.

So far, a few professional poker players have agreed to to play the “durrrr challenge”, including seven-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, but, only Patrick Antonius has agreed to the poker challenge. Thus far, both poker pros have taken part in a total of 20,647 poker hands out of 50,000, with Dwan up by $726,546 total.

Is Shooting your Mouth Off in Poker Tournaments a Winning Technique?

Posted under Poker & poker bluff & poker information

poker chips
No doubt the most loathed characters at the poker table the majority of times will continually be the attention-seeker. You know the poker player I’m telling you about. He’s the guy that pulls up a chair at the Texas Hold’em Poker table and makes clear you’re conscious that he wants to take all of your Texas Hold’em Poker chips; leaving the Texas Hold’em Poker table with the very same mind-set that he arrived with. Even if he gets shut down, he has the thought that he is the greatest Texas Hold’em player on the planet.

Whereas the majority of no-limit Texas Hold’em players would preferably keep away from competition of this class, there are those who would argue that showing-off could have its good points. So, the question is: Is there in all reality a skillful poker show-off or devious no limit Texas Hold’em poker show-off? Showing-off about how proficient you are in no-limit Texas Hold’em is essentially just like admitting: “I’m the best Texas Hold’em player on the planet, be sure to stay on top of things while you’re sitting in a Texas Hold’em Poker game against me!” That is almost certain to be the nastiest vibe to give out playing Texas Hold’em. What’s more, sharing too much information about your Texas Hold’em playing method can be unfavorable to your no-limit Texas Hold’em game. You most certainly do not want these people to find out how you play certain no limit Texas Hold’em poker hands.

Moreover there are those Texas Hold’em Poker players who may make use of boasting as a kind of Texas Hold’em Poker strategy, or bluff. Show-boating when you are dealt a specific poker hand may bewilder your opponents and baffle them about your poker playing method. Some may think that this tactic a bit sneaky, but it is vital to keep in mind that there aren’t any regulations against it in no-limit Texas Hold’em. Texas Hold’em is all about making the most of what you’re dealt and utilizing it to the fullest.

Poker players win millions with Absolute’s Bad Beat Jackpot

Posted under Poker & online poker & poker bonuses & poker information & poker tournament

Online poker players have one more reason to celebrate the coming of 2008 thanks to AbsolutePoker.com. The online poker room today released its 2007 Bad Beat Jackpot figures and the numbers show a massive amount of payments, making Absolute Poker the most profitable Poker room for those who were fortunate enough to hit one of the Bad beat Jackpots.

“2007 was an extremely profitable year for our Bad Beat Jackpot players,” stated David Clainer, Senior Vice President for Absolute Poker. “In just six months, we introduced the Bad Beat Jackpot game to US players, handed out over $6.5 million in Bad Beat Jackpot winnings, and broke an industry record.”

AbsolutePoker has rapidly become one of the most popular destinations for players who are looking to grab a piece of the multi-million dollar Bad Beat Jackpot pie. A glance at the 2007 Bad Beat Jackpot data released today reveals the following numbers:

* 39 - The number of jackpots that have been hit since Absolute Poker launched Bad Beat Jackpot on June 22nd.

* $8,555,664 - The total value of all jackpots hit

* $6,581,280 - The total value of jackpot money won by players

* $821,670.69 - The August 29th Bad Beat Jackpot that shattered all industry records, including the largest Bad Beat Jackpot record of $739,621 previously held by Party Poker.

Bad Beat Jackpot is just like regular Texas Hold’em but with a slight twist. When seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table, if a player loses a Texas Hold’em hand holding four 8s or anything better, they’ll win a large piece of the Bad Beat Jackpot.

To help the jackpot build, $0.50 is collected from qualifying hands at Bad Beat Jackpot tables. The jackpot keeps growing until someone hits a qualifying bad beat, at which time a large percentage of it is distributed amongst the bad beat victim and the participants in the online poker hand. The next player to lose a hand holding four 8s or anything better will win a large piece of the new jackpot. The participants in the bad beat hand will also share in the jackpot.
