Full Tilt Poker Greets ”durrrr” with Official Website

Posted under Poker & internet poker & online poker

As WedoitallVegas reported here over the weekend, it has recently been made public that Dwan has officially signed up with FullTilt Poker. The online poker site has given the heads-up specialist a warm welcome with an ”durrrr” Website featuring a welcome video clip and other interesting tidbits from the career of ”durrrr”.

One of the nicest areas of the ”durrrr” Website is the welcome video from Team Full Tilt Poker players Howard Lederer, Andy Bloch, Jennifer Harman and others. The Tom Dwan video on Full Tilt Poker also features an appearance from the legendary online poker player, ”durrrr”.

Dwan has been keeping himself quite busy lately with a new Tom “durrrr” Dwan blog, which will actually be posted from poker experiences of ”durrrr” himself. And let’s not forget the durrrr Challenge which is on its 27,185th hand out of the scheduled 50,000 total poker hands.

World’s best online poker site FullTilt.com has launched a new and innovative poker interface that includes innovative new elements on both the front end and backend and creates an easier poker experience.

Probably the first thing Full Tilt customers will notice is a new welcome page boasting a brand new modern appearance as well as a few brand new aspects such as a list of random security guidelines displayed on the bottom of the screen. Full Tilt new client software gives players 3 distinct lobby views: Basic, Standard and Classic View.

The Basic View gives new poker players with the possibility of catching up with the new poker client and viewing the games without the demands of participating. The Basic View provides step by step reports on all the existing poker games, and gives players the ability to decide on their currency, type of game, Game (Hold’em, Omaha Hi or HL, Stud and Mixed Games), Limit (Fixed, Pot or No Limit), and Stake. In addition poker players can now check the action before joining a poker table with the new “Observe Table” choice or click on “Browse Table to view the list of open tables.

The Standard View provides information about all the available poker games and allows poker players to modify the list of poker games and tables to present only the poker games of their preference. This option also offers players the possibility of choosing the type of table, poker game, stake and view the tables before jumping in the poker action.

Players can also opt for the Classic view and stay with Full Tilt Poker’s initial lobby, however, this choice will be accessible for a limited time only and will be terminated shortly.

Both the Basic and Standard views also features a series of pioneering characteristics such as new revolving graphic screen located on the left that provides customers direct entry to FullTiltPoker’s promos and events including the FTOPS, Iron Man, Play with the Pros, Full Tilt Poker Academy, Poker Deposit Bonuses, and many other poker promotions and Full Tilt Poker Tournaments, as well as an option for video that allows players to view videos directly from the Full Tilt Poker client.

Guinness World Record for Largest Poker Tournament by Full Tilt

Posted under Poker & internet poker & poker celebrities

Full Tilt Poker will attempt to stamp its name on the Guinness Records and to do so; the site has announced that it will try to set a new record for the Largest Online Poker Tournament. Full Tilt’s Record Breaker tournament was unveiled as the finale to FIVE, a week of events and promotions created exclusively to celebrate the site’s 5th anniversary. The tournament will take place on July 19th at 15:05ET, players can buy in for this event for only $5 or 1000 Full Tilt Points and compete for a share of a $250,000 guaranteed with $250,000 added prize pool. Players can also get entries to this event by playing the online satellites available on the site and starting for as little as 30 cents or 50 Full Tilt Points.

Team Full Tilt pros and WSOP bracelet winners Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Phil Ivey have already confirmed they will take part in the event, offering players the chance to sit down at this historic tournament and play with some of the best high stakes and tournament pros in the world.

“By extending the limits of what is possible in online poker tournaments, Full Tilt Poker will allow players to compete for a big payout without the big buy-in,” said Team Full Tilt member Howard Lederer.

Putting together a poker tournament of this magnitude would be nearly impossible for any brick and mortar casino or poker room. The current record for the largest “live” poker tournament was set at the 2006 WSOP Main Event with 8,772 players. To break the current Guinness Record set by PokeStars.com in December, 2008, Full Tilt Poker will need to attract over 35.000 players. If successful, this tournament will establish Full Tilt Poker as World Record holder and cement its reputation as a world leader in online poker industry.

FullTiltPoker.com has recently launched a brand new informative section containing all the action of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an amazing online heads up poker tournament presenting some of the finest big money poker players challenging the online poker phenomenon Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The new website section presents poker players and fans the opportunity to stay on top of this amazing online poker challenge and receive regular statistical updates. With this fresh “durrrr Challenge” website players can track all the action and review each hand played during the challenge, and check out tons of stats, including number of hands played, time of session, amount won, average won during each hand and lots more.

About six months ago, the twenty-three year old internet poker pro handed out a heads-up challenge for any poker player with the money, time and talent to accept it. Any poker star entering the poker challenge has to put up $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Full Tilt durrrr challenge specifies that a minimum 50,000 poker hands need to be played simultaneously at four or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the challenge, the poker player who has more cash will win the pool. Essentially if you enter the durrrr challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 poker hands, then you will earn Tom’s $1.5 Million, but if he triumphs by $1 then he will take home your $500,000.

So far, a few professional poker players have agreed to to play the “durrrr challenge”, including seven-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, but, only Patrick Antonius has agreed to the poker challenge. Thus far, both poker pros have taken part in a total of 20,647 poker hands out of 50,000, with Dwan up by $726,546 total.

Online Poker Scandal will air on 60 Minutes

Posted under internet poker & online betting & online poker rooms

absolute poker scandal
This Sunday evening CBS will show their special program “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This special investigation show was created after a 16-week examination into the online Texas Hold’em poker industry and specifically a deceitful scandal with the online Texas Hold’em room Absolute Poker.

This poker page was investigated after a few of the Texas Hold’em poker players on the site said that a poker player was unlawfully winning an incredible amount of cash. Todd Witteles was a significant witness in this study, according to him; he was losing great amounts of cash to the exact same Texas Hold’em poker player. Witteles declared that this man was raising against exceptionally good poker hands, most players would have believed he was simply handing over his money, but he was incredibly winning many poker hands.

Witteles was quite correct in his assumptions, following this it was discovered that someone possibly working for the company was able to spy on everyone´s poker hole cards. At first look, Absolute Poker proclaimed that there were no issues with the room or the Texas Hold’em poker player. After several players presented the site with claims, the Texas Hold’em poker webpage examined deeper into the problem and uncovered the mystery.

By January of 2008, the Kahnawake Gaming Commision unearthed what the Texas Hold’em competitors and the poker room had supposed all the time. It turned out that, there was a member of the staff who had broken through the poker site´s protection and was playing illegally for around six weeks. The study verified that the Texas Hold’em poker webpage had not profited from the unlawful actions at all, and was in no way, shape or form engaged in the activities.

These circumstances are further proof that there ought to be more control regarding online gambling pages. The United States government should authorize and regulate the internet poker business to shield these upright clients. These laws would also police the access to these webpages by kids, which is becoming another problem issue these days.

Is it Possible to Make a Living Playing Online Poker?

Posted under casino poker & internet poker & online betting

phil hellmuth
Take a minute to imagine if you were to talk to any typical person off the street about online poker, they probably wouldn’t believe online Texas Hold’em to be a game of tactics, plans, or observation. Possibly when you point out Texas Hold’em poker with them, they would possibly envision some friends sitting around their TV room talking and smoking cigarettes. They also could believe online poker to be a game of chance and not expertise, more similar to a game of roulette and not a game of skill, for example.

So the big doubt is: “Could I become a millionaire playing poker?”. It may seem strange but, you can actually make money this way. Some people not only win money by playing Texas Hold’em, but also make enough to live by competing in online poker. The main issue you should keep in mind about online Texas Hold’em poker is that even though you can play in a Sin City casino, beside blackjack tables and casino slots; in Texas Hold’em poker you are not working against the house but against other Texas Hold’em players. So, in reality, you are risking your money against other contenders in a contest of expertise as opposed to a game of fate.

You may be saying to yourself: “Isn’t the game of poker about chance as well?” Certainly in poker, not a soul really knows which cards will be dealt. That doesn’t automatically suggest that one can’t play with a dependable amount of pre-game information. One key point to not forget in Texas Hold’em is that numbers can be your best friend. Mathematics plays a very significant role in the game of online poker. Not forgetting, that even if you become fairly fortunate time and again the stats always have a way of bringing you back down to earth.

Keep in mind that Vegas casino table games comparable to Texas Hold’em where you are in reality contending versus other actual competitors CAN be won. The more you play the game of Texas Hold’em, you will learn that it is more of game of talent rather than pure chance.

Full Tilt and World Poker Tour Take a Gamble

Posted under internet poker & online betting & poker tournament

full tilt
The most prominent poker corporations out there are becoming partners very soon in what is anticipated to be a very profitable undertaking. The enormously successful poker website FullTiltPoker.com has just declared that they are going to be collaborating with WPT for the following W.P.T.E. season. FullTiltPoker.com is scheduled the chief sponsor of the World W.P.T.E.’s 7th, and the poker website is going to be highlighted in all of the shows which can be seen on Fox Sports Net. Fulltiltpoker will obtain all the control of the instructive portion of the shows.

Details of this pact have not been made known as of yet, but the merger is sure to be a great achievement. This pact will bring together two extremely formidable Texas Hold’em poker companies. WPT which is a famous powerhouse on television through FSN and FullTiltPoker.net which has a massive online poker set of fans, not to mention a Texas Hold’em team including players who have accumulated a total of ten WPT awards and 35 World Series of Poker bracelets. Full Tilt Poker also backs many other Texas Hold’em stars and now the Texas Hold’em site has started providing poker education as well.

This deal is assured to lure a brand new fan base and is certain to meet with the newfound recognition which poker is creating. This contract is a sign of WPT’s forfeit of the online poker room enterprise as World Poker Tour Enterprises will most likely close their online poker website W.P.T.E. online. Their subscription webpage ClubWPT.com will more than likely continue to operate.
